Working Principle of Wafer Type Vortex
Flow Meter
The wafer vortex meter operates based on the Kármán vortex street principle. When fluid
passes around a bluff body (obstruction) inside the meter, it generates alternating vortices
downstream. The frequency of these vortices is directly proportional to the fluid flow
velocity.
Flow formula:
